I must say this book is beyond the scope of what I believed it took for one to go Ghost Hunting. Melissa Martin Ellis goes into great detail with the ‘do’s and do nots’ in the Art of Ghost Hunting. I say it is an art, since the subject is not for everyone. However, I will say, I’m more fascinated than ever by the people that take this subject on to explore, and love doing it. We are all drawn to the unknown at one time or another in life. I will say the research and time and effect when writing this book should be commended. I loved how we could check on websites, and learn about equipment and places that have been viewed and verified. Thank you for writing it.

You know, the title of this book really says it all. This book seems like everything you could want to know about ghost hunting. I am considering becoming a freelance investigator of anomalous phenomenon and this was a great start when it comes to the investigation of ghosts and other spiritual phenomenon. I highly recommend it to both the curious and the die hard researcher. Five stars.

I’ve been investigating the Paranormal realm for more than 10 years and found this book to be insightful and compelling as well as a great resource for anyone who is contemplating entering the Paranormal Investigation field.

As one who has lived in a haunted house, I feel I can write about this book with unmittigated enthusiasm! It’s absolutely wonderful…filled with knowledge, expertise and practical advice, all offered in a lilting, sensible and thoroughly engaging voice. I only wish I’d had it several years ago when I was trying to navigate a troublesome ghostly situation that was proving hard to cope withThe book is brimming over with useful suggestions, lore and history, techniques and technology, photographic evidence, first person accounts. It explores the topic from A to Z with wonderfully reader-friendly tales of haunted places woven in so seamlessly, you’ll feel you’ve been taken on an entertaining journey of discovery while learning an immense amount about a subject that has intrigued people for centuries.

This book really explains the ins and out of investigating. I learned many aspects I had no a idea of. Such as history and form writing. Interesting read for beginners or just someone wanting to learn.

Very informative book with a lot of good information but lacks in organization. The author jumps around a lot with the subjects she is trying to explain. I often wondered if I had already read that part or not. I would still recommend this book.
