weeks ago with some latino friends we talked about supernatural things through a podcast that we usually listen to while we have study groups at the university, someone brought up the subject of strange inheritances left by relatives, in which a friend we will call Gabriel spoke about how a sister From his grandmother, a practitioner of magic, he inherited a couple of books with very strange information from his mother.
With some curiosity we asked Gabriel to see if he could show us one, he reluctantly accepted, he warned us that it was probably not a good idea, saying that his mother had tried to kill them, but for strange reasons the task was never achieved , fire, went out, throw them away, return to the living room library, give them away, return them the same day and only explain that it was not knowledge that we should have, even so, we pushed him to show it to us, I regret it.
When he showed us one, it only seemed like a handmade book with a cover made of the skin of an animal with grayish fur. I was the one who dared to look at it and I swear that just by taking it in my hands, fear and cold took over my body
It was quite thick, I just looked at the first few pages and I must admit that, I don't know exactly what I read, one of the pages explained in a very detailed way how to turn a house or farm animal into a black or white guardian, depending on your intentions. the next one was about secret uses of a certain incredibly common flower in my country and Latin America in general, the next page, God, it was terrible.
It was an illustration of a grotesque baby-shaped creature, black skin, insect wings and legs that, I don't know what they were, looked like 2 spider legs bent backwards. This thing was watching a child sleep from his crib, I know there was text under that drawing, I didn't read it, I dropped the book, a terrible fear chilled my bones and left me trembling, I almost cried and began to pray in a hasty manner and repeated a certain Well known Bible verse.
Something in my mind told me that it was better not to touch that book or read it again, my mind simply blocked the image of the creature, I can try to describe it but I can't visualize it, but I know that my mind blocked it for a higher reason.
I have to admit that I investigated later and it is worrying to know that many Latino families have stories with these heirlooms of rare books and objects. even so, I want to know if you have or know someone else who has or has in their possession one of these relics and if possible, talk about it
