This is a story from long time ago that I thought might be interesting to share on this sub.
It was 2004 and Mars was brightly visible in the sky. I was 14 and I had a habit of talking with the neighbor kid (to the left of me) through our windows, doing shenanigans like pointing a laser at the TV of our neighbors across, or just star-gazing alone. This was a night I was star-gazing alone. I sat perched on my bed with my elbows on the windowsil and the window pane slid fully open while creating an opening using my body between the vertical lamelle shades. I was looking at the constellations to spot Mars. It was nearing summer.
It took me a while to notice, but then I saw something strange in my neighbors yard (to the right). Mind I had watched the neighborhood in darkness many times and was completely familiar with my surroundings. This yard was at a corner with the right side of the garden connecting to the wall of another three story house, so it had a lot of shade and it was dark. Each garden in our neighborhood was fenced off for privacy and security. Each garden was about 300-320sq/ft.
In the middle of this backyard I saw eyes stare at me. It took me a while to process what I was looking at it. These were three eyes set in a triangle shape that gleaned like a cats eye. When I had fully accepted that this did not belong there usually, I felt fear wash over me, because I could not comprehend what I was looking at... and it stared right back at me.
I dropped myself onto my bed. My heart raced. But I wanted to verify if I really saw something odd. So I shot back up, pushed the lamelle's aside and looked. I caught it mid-move, and while it moved it was now half-behind the fence that separated my backyard with the neighbors. While it moved it turned back to face me and stood still. This all happened in like 3-4 seconds. Because it was now half-behind the fence, only the top and right eye were facing me, still shimmering and reflecting light like a cats eye. I was very freaked out that it relocated itself closer to me and I had caught it mid-movement. Because of the position next to the fence, I could also deduce that it was pretty tall. Not as high as the fence (which would've been around 6'-6'3), but close.
I then really freaked out inside and dropped myself back on bed again. A few seconds ticked, but I felt so afraid of it crawling into my window that I slammed it shut in one go. A few moments passed and I heard the eeriest sound from the garden. A very high-pitched buzzing sound, twice in a row. Like nothing I ever heard before, so it's hard to describe. Like an unbroken trembling high-pitch bleep that repeated itself twice. After that... silence.
I have spent years confused by what I really saw and I checked this garden multiple times at day and night to find plausible rational explanations what had occurred. When I tell this story to people I know, and take an interest in paranormal, they told me it's incredibly detailed encounter and encourage me to share it with people with more know-how... so I guess this is my attempt to entertain and perhaps receive an explanation or confirmation that someone else shares a similar freaky story.
