Just for the record I promise this is serious and I am genuinely seeking advice/any opinions from this sub.
I'm home alone for the night, and I've been doing work/browsing on the home computer (it's around 3:17am) and I've had a few strange things happen in succession.
I was home alone since around 10 pm, nothing strange at all had happened, just me and my computer. Then around 3:17am, I get up for the bathroom, and the lounge rooms dvd player is on, I notice because it's old and it makes an annoying sound when it's on. I didn't notice immediately as I have had my headphones in. Now I didn't watch any movies today, and it definitely wasn't on the past 5 hours I got up to get something earlier. And I would have noticed, due to the sound it makes if it was on before.
This gave me the creeps, but I was just thinking, 'whatever, it's probably nothing'. I come back from the bathroom (down the back end of the house) and I hear a sorta crack sound, one similar to what the floor makes when someone is walking around the house. The house is fairly old, so it's not to uncommon, but when it's only me here, it's a bit startling. I did hear a few other small noises after this, but 10 minutes later, and it's like it all never happened.
Now I just wanted to clear up, I don't outright believe in the paranormal, but I also don't outright dismiss it, hence why I'm here asking for opinions. Is this potential paranormal activity? Or Just paranoia? I've always thought this house was strange so this might be some evidence of that. Thanks in advance.
