So I have had my fair share of sleep paralysis episodes but this one has always stuck with me more. It's usually always been auditory hallucinations but this one time I actually saw a shadow figure. This happened some years ago. I had woken up and of course I couldn't move and at this point I had already had enough experiences to just be annoyed by this but then I saw the figure. It was just an all black shadow, almost like a silhouette. The stranged thing about this shadow figure though was that his face (or at least where his face should have been) was just squiggles of bright, neon looking color. He was face to face with me for a second then I just snapped out of it. Now that im older I have heard that sleep paralysis is almost like a form of astral projection but it's almost like a failed version where your soul is just stuck in your body but it's on the other side. Could it had been an actual entity I saw or was it really just the mind playing its tricks?
