Floating down steps?/u/relish0430

The house I (26, F) grew up in was haunted— still is, my parents still live there, but that’s beside the point.

When I was younger I would see things here and there in and around our house so I was never really afraid of the idea of ghosts, etc.. one thing that has sparked my interest over and over again is this distinct memory I have from when I was around 4.5/5yo. I would always slide down the stairs on my butt or on my stomach but decided to jump down the stairs while my mom was doing laundry in the back room one morning. I distinctly remember floating down the steps as if someone was catching me so I wouldn’t get hurt. It happened twice. Since I was so young I always just pass it off as my memory wanting to believe that’s what happened for whatever reason but I seriously replay that memory probably twice a week and have always wondered wtf actually happened.

Has anyone else ever have a similar experience? It’s bizarre, I know lol
