This is really a super long story so I’m going to keep it as short as possible, but will be happy to go into detail/answer questions. This is a very basic explanation of the house/haunting. I really just wanted to share these photos.
A quick backstory; My parents have lived in the house for 30 years. I was 4 when we moved in (I’m now 34) and I frequently go back to visit. I (and many of my family and friends) have seen full body apparitions in the house. We’ve seen the ghost of the old lady who used to live there.
I’ve seen objects launch across the room by themselves, doors open and close, door handles going up and down. I’ve seen TV’s, Radios and CD players turn on by themselves, and stiff cupboard drawers pulled open. My parents have watched glasses launched from a worktop and smash on the floor, and once a whole pot of nails thrown off the center of a table.
There are frequent occurrences of icy cold patches, strange unexplainable smells and sounds (the strong smell of cigarettes wafting over your face – no one has smoked in the house for 30 years – accompanied by an icy cold spot, even if it’s the middle of summer and 30c+). “She” will move objects, hide things in impossible places (my Dad once lost a screwdriver while doing some work to the house, it had been right next to him and it vanished. He found it two years later under some floorboards in a different part of the house – I cannot explain this logically and it has happened multiple times over the last 30 years with different items). She also hates things being changed in the house and even at the mention of any DIY, things will go wrong (light blubs start blowing up, appliances and other electronics break down, the power goes out etc etc).
So to the photos… We decided one day we’d try to get photo evidence of “her”. We set up a digital camera (this was around 2010) facing the doorway between the two most haunted rooms of the house (the living room and main bedroom, where all the activity happens) and I held out my hand while standing in front of the camera and said “if you’re there, touch my hand”. We shot the first photo immediately afterward (see top left picture), with a brilliantly clear orb floating directly above my hand. We thought at first although it was absolutely crazy, maybe it was just a coincidence. So we took more pictures using the same method; holding out a hand and asking her to appear and touch our hands. We took more. And more. We took pictures over the course of two years with multiple digital cameras, phone cameras, in different lighting, different times of year, and with a whole bunch of different family and friends. The same single orb showed up in every single photo when we asked the ghost to show herself. The orbs generally don’t show up unless you ask them to. It’s also worth noting, I never captured orbs anywhere else (outside of the house) with any of these digital cameras/phones, so it wasn’t a camera issue either (plus like I mentioned, multiple types of camera/phone used over a couple years).
Happy to answer any questions. I totally understand if you don’t believe the idea of orbs being ghosts, but I can’t ignore the evidence I have, and the experiences I’ve had. I know the house is 1000% haunted and when I was able to capture these pictures, it just gave me proof. I hope one day to capture a full body apparition just as I have seen her myself.
