The suspension bridge stretches across a forested side valley of the Mosel between Mörsdorf and Sosberg along the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig. The foundations of the two bridgeheads are solidly 82 feet (25 meters) deep into the rock. Four steel cables help the bridge stretch across the valley, where the thick wooden planks are bolted. In addition, the bridge is supported by left and right guy lines for strong winds. The suspension bridge can also be reached via a branch of the long-distance hike Saar-Hunsrück-Steig.
