Hey, this is kinda weird. But over the years the more I think about it the more I can't get passed what I saw. When I was younger I grew up in bartonville, IL; the town that once housed the old state hospital also known as the Peoria State Hospital. And obviously growing up it created much intruige in us children. Around the time I was 15 or 16 me and one of my friends decided to walk over to the cemetery because wed never experienced much in the actual bownen building short of some weird but questionable events in the tunnels under the grounds. On this night we walked down the road it was dark but we could see all the way down it thanks to the street lights we were walking probably just passed the building known as the tuberculosis ward when suddenly we looked up and maybe 25 or 30 feet in front of us was this black humanoid like figure it stood like a man like normal mans height but it's was all black it didn't even look like it wore clothing but you couldn't make out any actual physical feature none the less it's was as if was cloaked in darkness or couldn't be perceived by us like it took the shape of a human but everything inside that shape was pure blackness. And it just stood there and we waived to it thinking somehow despite my previous words that it was a person. And it didn't wave back it didn't move a muscle. And so then I took a step toward it and as soon as I did it took a step toward me and much like some horror movie when it's foot hit the ground I felt the most vile energy eminating toward me. And I guess my friend did too because we both just turned around and ran until we made it back to the main strip of town from the outer limits where the hospital grounds were. Anyway I'm not sure why I'm messaging I don't presume there's anything people can do. If they really do even believe in these things. But I saw something and it doesn't add up how it wasn't there the whole time we'd been walking down the road then maybe fifty feet from the cemetery it had just appeared while we weren't looking down for a sec; standing there in the open like there wasn't anywhere anyone could hide. We've gone back there was nothing there we could have been mistaking as despite obviously being able to see it as the roads are lit by street lights. Like this wasnt some dark road situation I mean it was dark but it was a lit road we could see features, shapes, and even color. clearly especially as close as it was to us. And it wasn't one of us like it wasn't human. It's been almost 15 or 16 years since then and whenever I think about i still feel like my reality is breaking down. I just want answers to what we saw.
