I saw my grandpa after he passed away./u/Yes-Freedom-Matters

Not sure if I have to share my experience, but I guess if I ended up here, probably means that someone needs to find it and maybe this will encourage them to believe more that the afterlife exists and that we'll unite with beloved ones we lost after our physical life experience will expire in this world.

So a little backstory, my beloved grandfather passed away almost 23 years ago, at the moment I was 4 years old and I still vividly remember him up to this day. We had a very strong bond with each other. I remember how safe I felt around him. How smart, and kind he was. He was such a natural to the ground man. I could see how he loved my mother/his daughter. He was a good man even if he had to go through a lot in his life...

Unfortunately, we haven't had a lot of time to spend, because he passed away from a brain tumour. After diagnosis, it aggressively progressed to metastasis... It's still too painful to get into more details... probably because I kept this to myself for too long without the ability to talk with someone besides my mom and now you. Probably if you also are here, you know that talking about this and being heard isn't that easy.

That early morning, when he passed away I only saw a glimpse of him laying on his bed and my grandmother with mom was taking me away to the next room. I immediately knew what happened. The ideology of life immediately shattered in front of my eyes.

I wanted to attend the last possibility to say goodbye. But my parents decided for me that I shouldn't attend the funeral and left me at my father's parents' home, so I didn't get a chance to see him and tell my last goodbye to him. At least I thought during that moment...

A few days later, or even the next morning after the funeral. That morning I felt someone waking me up. First thought that mom came to wake me. And when I opened my eyes, I saw him sitting on my bed. I'm not gonna lie, I thought my eyes would pop out. Even if I tried to stay calm and observe, on the inside was a completely different situation.

I asked if I was dreaming and he calmly said no to me, then continued to tell me that he came to me to say goodbye because he couldn't leave without saying anything to me. My eyes overflow with tears. He also said to tell my mom that she is strong and he loves her & me very much. He said after this that he must go. I begged him to stay. But he said that he must and that this isn't the end.

We said our goodbyes. Shortly after this, whiteness appeared in the middle of the room, (I have no idea how to describe the material or portal, aura, mirage or whatever it was, I wish to know), he went towards it till everything got back to normal. He disappeared and because I heard my mom cooking in the kitchen I immediately run out of bed to tell her everything that happened. My mom believed. We sat for a while crying. Everything was very fresh.

Going back to the part where he was sitting close to me on the bed. He looked different, he had such a powerful, white aura around himself too. He was glowing and healthy but at the same time different, very serious like he got all the knowledge of the world.

Even if I started from this experience as my first post, it's very personal to me. I hope you will respect it. However, I had much more terrifying paranormal and mystical incidents happen to me while growing up. If you want me to open up to you, let me know and I'll see what I could do about it.

And of course, thank you for staying. Don't judge too much, because English isn't my first language, and I wasn't social for a while but if you want to give me any tips on how to improve, you are very welcome to do so.
