Google Nest caught weird lights and rays while I was asleep in my bedroom./u/Vote4RankedChoice

Do you think the cause for this is electrical or a Google Nest cam glitch? For reference, my bedroom “ceiling fan with light” for like over a year now has been broken — the fan works perfectly fine however the light does not.

By “broken” I mean the actual light feature from the “ceiling fan with light” is dysfunctional / not functional. Whenever you turn on the light it will shine bright and normal, but this will be for less than 5 minutes (sometimes it can work perfectly fine for something like an hour) before it will begin flashing and flickering before powering off. The flickering can literally be just like a stroke light.

But this is when the light feature is powered on from my remote control. I sleep every night with the “ceiling fan with light” wall/light switch turned on so that from my bed I can, through the remote control sitting on my nightstand, reach and adjust the fan however I’d like from my bed without needing to get up. The “power on” button for the light was never pressed so that the light would turn on last night. Same deal the other time my Google Nest caught flickering - the remote control switch was never pressed.

What’s different about this time is that is doesn’t even look like light is coming from my ceiling light from when the light powers on. I sleep with blackout curtains so it cannot be explained as something from outside the window. I do have a couple of different lamps on my room — one on my desk and the other on the floor. What do you all think? Electrical issue? There were instances where it literally looked like weird floating blobs/rats coming down from the ceiling and then coming back up — moving in that way.
