My only experience with the paranormal and its been stuck in my head everyday for over a decade./u/Inside_Mode5100

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any feedback that I can get would be immensely appreciated, be it comment or private messaging. This event happened in the summer of 2009, my junior year of high school. What makes this “ghost story” different than 99% of any others you may come across is that I was not alone. I was riding in a vehicle with my best friend. We were both stone cold sober, not particularly sleep deprived and his retelling of the night is identical to mine in almost every way. We were both leaving our fast food summer job and rode home together, him driving me in the front passenger seat in an “open” jeep. Top off, doors off, summertime. You get the picture. There is a large cemetery in Irwin Pennsylvania that is divided in half by a road that we frequently took home as a short cut. As we were turning onto that rode, I was playing Tetris on the rinky dink flip phone I had while we discussed our shift that night. The next thing I knew my friend, jon, slammed on the brakes so incredibly hard that my phone and food that was on my lap went flying. I could audibly hear his tires squeal. My first reaction was to turn my head left to ask wtf his problem was. When I glanced at him he was staring straight ahead, eyes bulging and face pale from what I remember. As I looked up I saw what I can best describe as a hunched over hooded figure with a small pointed head, about seven feet in front of us, crossing the road. It was hard to make out sharp details but it seemed to have some sort of walking stick and a limp. It seemed to almost glide with walking movements but the speed it moved at was unnatural. It turned its head to look at us as it crossed the road but I could not make out any facial features. We sat dumbfounded and watched it crest over the hill towards the children’s cemetery. I also had the impression it was female but that is just instinct. My friend and I discuss this frequently and nothing I can find online sounds remotely close to what we saw. It’s always one person stories lacking detail as well. Any ideas, questions, or comments would be amazing! Thank you so much guys!
