I had a couple of experiences happen that I can’t quite explain, and the timing of them seemed even more of a coincidence.
A few years ago, my Dad passed away pretty unexpectedly from a heart attack. The next few days were obviously pretty chaotic, but I remember a few days or so later, I had just woken up in the morning and I was laying in bed. At the time I was living in my first house I had ever purchased and I lived there with my girlfriend. The house I lived in was an older 1.5 story house, with our bedroom being the only room upstairs. On one side of the room was our bed, the other was a set of stairs down to the dining room, which was attached to the living room. While I was laying in bed I rolled over and picked up my phone and was scrolling as I tried to wake up for the day. Then I heard a loud click from a light switch and the light turned on by the stairs. The light by the stairs is controlled by a three way switch, a newer quieter switch at the bottom of the stairs and an older louder switch at the top of the stairs. I put my phone down and stared at the stairs to the room expecting my girlfriend to come up stairs. After almost a minute I could still hear the TV playing downstairs and there wasn’t any movement that I could hear (it’s an old house so you can hear everything). I got out of bed and went downstairs and saw my girlfriend sitting on the couch still watching TV with our dogs laying at her feet and a cat sitting comfortably in her lap. My girlfriend looked at me and must have seen that I had a confused look on my face because she asked what was up. Looking back at it, there was no way that she could have got up and turned the light on and sat back down that quickly without the animals being disturbed, I didn’t hear her walking around either. I wish I could blame it on old wiring, but that light never did anything like that for the rest of the time I lived there.
The second incident was a couple years later. My mom got really sick with pneumonia and was hospitalized and basically put into a medical coma. She had several other long term health issues with her lungs so it wasn’t looking great. A couple days go by and I’m at work driving my assigned company vehicle (a 2018 SUV, which was pretty new at the time) my mom isn’t showing any signs of improvement and I’m thinking pretty hard on it while I’m driving down some random rural road. I remember getting this weird feeling as I was driving by some big outdoor party or wedding reception. There was one person just standing outside by himself staring at my car as I drove by. As I got passed the place, my car radio randomly shut off, like all the way to a black screen, but it was the only electronic that seemed to have an issue. A few seconds later I saw the ford symbol pop up and it booted back up and continued playing music from my phone as if nothing happened. For the rest of the night I remember having this sadness and feeling of hopelessness. Late the next night, my mom passed away. That same company car was still mine for another couple years and the radio never malfunctioned like that any other time.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything similar?
