Paranormal Signs/u/TheHauntingOfSeaDame

Hi all, I’m Nat! I’d like to share a story with you all and get some feedback on it. Have you ever had a dream and had the same situation occur in real life? Weird right? Maybe it’s just deja vu or idk…what really is deja vu and why do we have it? Anyway, story time…

Back in 2009 I moved in with my girlfriend at the time who lived with her mother, brother, and cousin. Her mother was handicapped and such a loving person. Her and the cousin would get high together every night (I guess it helped with the pain?). It was July 4th weekend when her long lost friend visited (some guy). My parents were visiting at the time as well for the holiday weekend. I remember her going into her room with the guy friend for hours (they were doing drugs). The next day she stayed in bed the whole time. We’d check on her every now and then. She wasn’t feeling well enough to go watch the fireworks with us so, we went without her. That same night, my phone rang…her picture showed up as it was supposedly her calling me but the phone froze on the image/call. I thought that was weird but likely just some weird phone glitch. Little did I know…it was a warning/sign. The next morning my parents left to go home. Again, she spent the day in bed. She was communicating with us fine and all when we’d check on her. That night we were all in bed. I remember around 11pm or so, I started to feel really weird. Like I really needed to go check on mom. Our dog started barking like crazy bad I went to check on it. She was barking at the front door…I thought that was really weird to. I then get the urge to check on mom. I opened her room door (it was pitch black in it and freezing). I touched her and said “mom, are you okay?” No response. And she was cold to the touch. I found her passed away…

I won’t go any further into details but I think about the occurrences often. Was I getting a warning that death was coming? What are your thoughts on this? Anyway, thanks for reading my story.
