So my mom has had a couple of possibly paranormal things happen to her. I wouldnt say shes a definitive believer but she does not exclude the possibility since she has her fair share of stories. One of which started when her sister died in a car crash.
My grandparents (both long gone) used to live in a big apartment building near our house. She lived on one of the top floors and had this amazing view of the neighboorhood when stood on the balcony. i could even see my own house. It was quite an empty balcony however. Just 2 chairs with a small table to sit and have a smoke.
But this changed when my mothers sister died (my grandma's daughter). Ever since that day, every day a little bird would show up and watch through the window, A little (European) Robin to be clear. It seemed way more comfortable around humans than other birds and would only fly away if you went outside and got really close to it. Only to come back onces you went back inside.
My mom didnt think much of it until my grandma mentioned reincarnation and that it might have been my moms sister coming over to visit. Eventually the whole balcony was decorated with all sorts of bird feeders and even a little bird house.
A couple years later (i don't know the exact time line cause i was still very young) My grandma got a stroke and passed away in the hospital. My mother and her brothers were trying to figure out what kind of card they would send to people who were invited to the funural. They weren't really sure what to put on the front so they eventually just settled with a pink rose.
They called up this local shop and told them they wanted cards with a rose on the front. My mom still was kinda hesitant about the rose thinking there mustve been something better to put on it.
Then later that evening it hit her: IT SHOULDVE BEEN A ROBIN.
So she instantly calls the shop telling the owner everything about the robin etc. The owner then told her he was really sorry but there was nothing he could do as the order already went through and was nearly finnished. My mom couldve made a new order but i guess she thought it wasn't worth the money as the cards weren't really THAT important.
Now if that was the end of it i wouldn't be telling this story.
The next day the owner of the shop calls back my mom and he told her he was very confused. All of the cards my mother ordered somehow came out wrong, Even though all the other orders came out fine. Cards printed before and after hers came out fine.
He told her they would reprint the cards and that she could have the cards with the robin if she still wanted those, which she ofcourse wanted.
She has told me she thinks it might have been the owner himself making up a story to do a little good deed, but like to believe it was her mother intervening from beyond the grave.
