My second paranormal experience was right after my first when I got back to California
Every weekend when I, (19f) was 8, all the way till I was 10 years old, would spend the night at my best friend's house. After our first ghost experience together, we turned once-a-week into twice-a-week sleepovers.
However, it was very hard for me to spend the night at her house because of one thing.
The Ghost. The one from her grandma's house I presumed.
Every time I would spend the night at my friend's house, she would sleep on her bed, while I slept on the floor. And every night I spent the night at her house, I would wake up in the middle night to a man-like figure standing at the edge of the bed, just watching her. He would look at me, walk over to me, put a finger up to his mouth, and tell me to "shhh" and then would walk up beside her and just stay there staring at her.
the whole time he would not move no matter what after that.
Eventually, I would fall asleep, but this happened every time I would sleep over. I told my friend, and even though she never saw what I did, she believed me and she told her parents. They had a priest come to bless the house but it never changed anything. This same thing would happen for the next 2 years, twice every weekend.
Later on, my friend and I stopped being friends, so the sleepovers stopped. However, I ended up moving houses to where I would have most of my paranormal experiences at.
Every now and then, I would notice a shadow out of the corner of my eye. Or I would notice something on my dresser would move and sometimes things would just fall off when there was no way they could have.
But I never really saw any harm until one day when I was about 11. I was home alone and my mom told me to make sure to lock all the doors. We had 3 doors leading to the outside, we had the front door, the backdoor, and a door in the kitchen that led to the garage which I always locked because I was scared of it and it gave me a bad vibe.
After making sure all the doors were locked, I went to sit on the couch in the living room and watch some TV. After about 2 minutes, I hear the front door unlock but I was confused because no one was supposed to be home at that time. So I go to the front door and I see that there is no one outside but the lock was unlocked. But I FOR SURE know I locked it, so I got nervous but I didn't want to scare myself as my mom wasn't gonna be home till later and I couldn't bother her at work.
So I just locked the door and went to sit back down. I'm passing the kitchen when I hear the door handle move. I stopped in my tracks and turned to look at the garage door. the lock was turned over. another lock just unlocked and right then, I knew I wasn't imagining things.
I quickly lock the door again and run to my mom's room, where I call her telling her that she needs to come home because the locks keep unlocking and I'm scared. This was the first time I was left alone in the house so my mom thought I was just being paranoid and told me it was nothing, I'm just scared because it was my first time being alone and she will be home in a few hours.
I agree with her and try to go back to the living room to watch TV when I hear the latch on the glass of my back door. The back door had just unlocked the second I walked out of my mom's room. This was the third time this happened to me in the span of 15 minutes, so obviously I start freaking out and I run to my neighbor's house next door and I explain everything to her. She tells me that I can stay there till my mom gets home, which of course I agree to.
When my mom came to get me from the neighbor's house, she still did not believe me and told me that I can't keep scaring myself like this and I can't let my imagination get the best of me.
Which I would agree with if I didn't know for a fact that our house was haunted.
