I (19f) have had many paranormal experiences, my first being when I was around 8 or 9 years old. So obviously I have a lot of stories that I wanted to share in order of when they happened:
My first ever experience was when I was around 8 or 9 years old. My friend (9f) grandma had invited us to go to her house in Arizona to visit for 2 weeks. My friend and I took a plane by ourselves to fly there from California. Immediately when you walk into this house, it just felt off. And walking upstairs to this tiny guest room, the feeling just amplified. My friend and I were to sleep in the guest room upstairs, next to her grandma's room and we were not allowed to go into it, as she had antiques she didn't want to be broken.
There was a small door that led to a huge walk-in closet that went all the way down the side wall, and the latch was broken so the door wouldn't stay closed. Immediately my friend and I were afraid of this closet, so we kept books in front of the door to keep it closed. The first couple of days went by fine, there was nothing that was out of the ordinary besides the fact that the dog would not go upstairs at all. No matter what, this dog would not come upstairs, which was off to me.
On the 4th night there, my friend and I went to bed like normal, closet door was closed with the books in front of it. In the middle of the night, I wake up to my friend standing up on the bed. But I didn't really see it in a creepy way, as I knew that she sleepwalked so I told her to lay down and go back to bed. As she went to lie down, I noticed that the closet door was slightly open and the books were moved over, so I closed the door and put them back not really thinking anything. The next day, I told my friend and her grandma what happened but they kind of just laughed it off like nothing, so I did the same.
Then, that night my friend I go to bed yet again, But this time I had a nightmare. My dream was all red with a woman wearing a flowy red dress, and she was calling for me to come closer, so I did. Once I got right in front of this woman, her face just changed to that of a man who yelled at me to get out. He just kept repeating get out, get out, get out until I finally woke up.
When I woke up, I turned to my side and my friend was already awake. I told her I just had a nightmare and she told me that she had one too. She started to explain her dream and I realized that we had the same dream. Every detail she explained, was the same. So obviously we got really scared but it was even worse when we noticed the closet door was wide open and the books were on the other side of the room. We ran to her grandma, and she told us that if we were so scared that we can sleep in the living room. Which we did for the remainder of the trip.
However the next day, my friend, her grandma, and I were going on a trip to the waterpark in town. Before we left, her grandma asked if I can grab her purse from her room, to which I agreed. I go upstairs, and her purse was on her dresser that was on the very left side of the room. I grab the purse and we leave. We have a fun time at the water park and were out the whole day.
We get home around 7 pm and her grandma goes up to her room as my friend and I stay downstairs. Almost immediately her grandma comes back down and is screaming at me that I had broken her antique lamp by her bed. I was confused because I never went into her room and when I told her this she said that I broke it when I went into her room earlier that day. But that didn't make any sense because the lamp was on the very right side of her room and I stayed on the left only to grab her purse and leave. However, no matter what, she did not believe me and she sent my friend and I back home to California a week early.
About a year or two later, my friend's grandma comes down to California to visit and invites me to dinner with her and her family. So I go and the first thing out of her mouth was her asking me if I remember everything I told her about our dreams and the broken lamp. I say yes because her house is haunted. She actually agreed with me and she said that she did research on the previous owners of the house and she said that an old couple lived there before her and they absolutely hated children. It was actually discovered that the closet that my friend and I were so scared of was the closet where the wife had hung herself.
After hearing this, everything started to make sense. Why I got an off feeling from the upstairs and the closet. Why the dog didn't wanna go upstairs, Why I heard a man's voice telling me to get out. and why the lamp broke, so her grandma would think I broke it so we could get sent home early.
