My haunted (?) office/u/barracuda_coochie

This happened about 6 years ago. I had just graduated from university and I landed my first full-time job as an HR Assistant. Office layout: my office was a large room, with 3 smaller rooms, each with a single door that faces the main area of the office. The doors to two of these rooms faced 2 cubicles, mine and my supervisor’s. And the other room was to my left. One of the two rooms in front of me was a huge filing room, with folders all over the place. I was the only person that used and had the key to this room. Incident 1: I always stayed back after work because I was trying to finish a project. One afternoon, after everyone in my department had left, I started playing some BGM while I was working. Suddenly, I heard a loud thud coming from the filing room. I figured one of the heavy folders must have fallen off the table, so I got up went to open the door. As I’m approaching the room, I get this intense feeling to run. I ignored it and continued. When I opened the door and looked, there was nothing on the floor and everything was exactly how I had left it. I shrugged, closed the door with the key and went back to my desk. As I sat at my desk, before I could hit play, I heard knocking coming from inside the room. I knew it was coming from that room, because the door would shake with each knock. I sat at my desk, frozen with fear and then the knocks got louder and I grabbed my shit and ran. Incident 2: I didn’t tell anyone what had happened that day because I didn’t wanna be labeled as crazy or mentally unfit and risk losing my job. So, I told myself I was just really tired and continued staying back after work. A few weeks after the 1st incident, I was at my desk again and I watched everyone from my department leave. I started working, and I heard what sounded like the door knob of the filing room rattling. I shot up from my desk and I went to the door, and I as soon I was standing directly infant of the door it stopped. And this intense feeling of dread and fear came over me. And the door handle started rattling again, I ran back to my desk and I felt like someone was watching me. I grabbed my shit and started heading for the door. Area outside of my office layout: There is “glass” office directly to the left of my department’s door. As the name suggests, it’s completely see-through. Incident 2 cont.: I slowly closed the door behind me because, again, I didn’t want anyone see me running through the halls acting crazy. I locked the door and walking past the glass office, I heard what sounded like someone banging on the walls. I froze, and the banging continued. I booked it and the banging got louder and followed me until I had left the department completely.

Final words: I quit shortly after that incident. I just thought this was a weird and interesting experience and wanted to share.
