Hi everyone, the Lurker here from the world of Pagan. Before I was banished, I use to stay in what you in your quarters would probably call a hostel or a boarding house of some sort.
There were four of us staying in the cellar of this particular dwelling, that would be me and three other men/travellers (who I eventually managed to befriend) - Hermaans, Ortneel and Krokki.
The reason why I'm writing to you tonight is to hear if anyone else has also had strange experiences whilst finding themselves sleeping facing the stars (on their backs)?
I used to sleep always facing the east, however this evening, for some reason, I fell asleep just after dusk 'face-up'.
Somewhere during the evening of sleep, something like a hand made its way down the stairs and proceeded to push my face 'hard' into the pillow. I did not enjoy this much.
A year or so later, after having been promoted to another room, it happened again, but this time it was some sort of spider on my face and arm. I woke up screaming and fell out of bed. I saw it running away. My bunkmate at the time, uncle Elroy, nearly had a heart attack. Again, I didn't enjoy the experience much.
I haven't slept on back since, and that was many moons ago. Can someone explain why they come for you when you sleep facing the stars (sleep on your back)? Thank you in advance
