The feeling of being watched/u/Social-Emperor-3506

Just to preface this I am a religious person but when it comes to supernatural things like ghost, spirits, witches, magic, or demonic possessions I’m very agnostic towards those things. I don’t necessarily believe in them but I don’t rule them out of possibility.

Now this happened to me about one or two years ago when I was still in high school, I had gotten up to do my morning routine and make some breakfast before getting dressed and leaving for school. To get a better idea of things the layout of the house is pretty simple, the kitchen has a clear view of the hallway that leads to my room on the right at the end of it, but it also has a view of my great uncle’s office where he does his work on the left side of the hallway with my room just being five feet down from it.

With that I had finished making breakfast and planned on eating it in my room, so as I rounded the corner of my fridge with full view of the office as the door was open I saw this black round shadow thing that really looked like a head peering from behind the door. Of course freaked out I was frozen in my spot, I blinked and then it was gone. Being ever skeptical I moved in my spot hoping to recreate the effect that maybe it was just a shadow of an object, but no luck.

Then I decided to investigate myself since I have to pass the door anyway to get to my room, walking in the office I looked around to see if there was any object that may have been dark and round in case my great uncle had put something in there I didn’t know about but like before there was nothing. I just decided to write it off as a weird optical illusion and went to go eat my breakfast. In my room I was watching YouTube while eating just trying to forget that whole experience but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched. I had my door open and I found myself constantly looking to see if someone was there but there wasn’t.

I decided to just close the door but that didn’t help get rid of the feeling of being stared at. Now what I’m gonna say next I swear happened, a loud knock resonated from the other side of my door. At this point I was a bit uncomfortable and jumpy but that knock was my last straw, I immediately went to open the door not wasting any time hoping it was my great aunt on the other side. No one, not a single person, my great aunt and uncle’s door was still closed meaning they were still asleep.

I was done, the feeling of being watched intensified and I was no longer comfortable being in my room. I got dressed immediately, even though it was really early before I was supposed to be at school I couldn’t stand that feeling of someone watching me. There was something I couldn’t understand happening and I didn’t like it so I left.

Ever since then, when I’m alone I still get a feeling of someone watching me but I could never see anyone. I despise it so I try to stay in lit areas or keep a tv on to drown out the quiet and dark. What do y’all think about this, any suggestions help.
