I recently posted about my "phone demon", which was already an absurd enough thing, and in the comments I was encouraged to make a post about the actually absurd things I felt were too weird to add to this subreddit.
I only have a finite number of "unexplained" things that have happened to me so I will post them one by one whenever I feel brave enough to share.
So here goes, my first ever weird experience:
I think I was about 4 or 5 years old. This was the early 90's and Duplo blocks by Lego were very popular for small children. They came in these big buckets, and when you'd play with them you just basically dump the bucket on the floor and build stuff. Sometimes you'd get special blocks that were meant to build animal shapes or cars etc.
I always played with them on the livingroom floor because that's where my parents were watching television. My mother especially was strict about me picking up all the legos back into the bucket after playing so that no one would step on them (ha, tale as old as time it seems). And I always did that.
One night I had finished picking my legos into the bucket before bedtime. I had gone upstairs to bed, and as I always had trouble sleeping, I laid awake in my bed.
I then heard a LOUD crash downstairs and the specific sound of Duplo blocks spreading everywhere on the floor. I realised I had left the bucket in the hallway leading up to the stairs and my father must have tripped over them. I sat up in my bed because I was scared I would get my little ass handed to me for doing that. I stared at the open door of my room intensely.
Instead of either of my parents, what appeared to the doorway was a face floating in the air. I say face, but it was shaped more like one of those floating lights you see when you close your eyes. It looked at me and it spoke: "My name is Kolina. If you ever make such loud noises again I will come back for you".
After it disappeared I ran to my parents room where my mother was sleeping. I told her about the floating face but she was very unimpressed and just told me to go back to bed. "Your father just tripped over your stupid legos, he is drunk, go to bed".
I don't remember anything else from that experience, must have slept.
