Hey all. Im new hear and was hoping for some input. This has been on my mind for years and have never gotten any answers.
It started was I was 5-8 year old. I lived a normal life as a kid. Played sports of all kind, went to school, hungout with friends when I could, etc. it started with me having these random “episodes” at night. Almost every night without fail. I would be laying in bed with my mom reading to me and all of a sudden feel this deep dark panic and I would start freaking out and crying for no reason. After so long of this happening my mom ended up taking me to the psychiatrist to see what was going on. They couldn’t figure it out. This went on for a while until it started to go on longer into the night. The “episodes” quit happening. I wish they hadn’t, because what took it’s place was 10x worse for me.
One night I was going to bed, same routine. Shower, brush teeth, hop in bed and have my mom read me a story to try and sleep. After so long I ended up passing the F out, long day. I woke up in the middle of the night not knowing what time it was. It felt pretty late/ early in the morning and it was pitch black in my room. I felt this heavy, deep and dark presence in my room and I was frozen. Unable to move by fear. It felt like there was something in my room staring at me from the corner of my pitch black room. I waited for probably 10 minutes to build up the courage to get up and get to my parents room. I get up, take the blanket off and the moment my feet touch the ground I hear voices of all kinds yelling and whispering and screaming my name from all over my room. I try so hard to pretend its not there, saying to myself “this isnt real” over and over. It was definitely real. Im getting the chills now just thinking about it. I made my way to the hallways attached to my room and when I opened the door the voices got louder. I was never touched by anything. I was terrified and this event went on for a few years every night without fail. I dont know what it was. Has anyone had similar experience or does anyone know what it could be? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
