Sliders? Zapping energy/u/Disastrous-Aside-805

I don’t know which Reddit group to ask this in. Am I the only one who experiences weird interactions with technology and electric?

My husband (40F) who is an atheist and does not believe in anything paranormal, has noticed weird things happen when I’m around. The TV will be working fine and I come downstairs and it stops working. The lights in the bathroom on my side (same light switch) go out way more frequently in 5 houses (military) We actually had to replace a ballast recently. My brand new phone has awful service, data, and Wi-Fi. For each phone or laptop he has had, I’ve probably had three because they have died. I used to work at the bank, and my light above my station would flicker. My closet light at our past house would flicker constantly and so would our bedroom light.

This comes up today because I was helping a friend and driving their car to get worked on and the entire odometer/speedometer screen stopped working and they were needing a knocking noise looked at so not related. Every time (no exaggeration) I have driven someone else’s car, a light goes out or the battery dies, but I don’t experience this is my own car rarely. I used to go to college in Canada and three times out of the four I was going on a road trip home in the U.S., I had lights go out on my car the day before or the day of. My husband won’t let me drive his car.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve heard the term slider before, but have never heard an explanation to what causes someone to be one.
