What to do if you’re dreaming, and in the dream you realise it’s a dream?/u/ProfessionFamous8461

Pretty much what the title says.

I(19M) have pretty weird dreams, but lately I've been realising I'm in a dream. I had a dream where Gwyneth Paltrow (Ironman's wife/girlfriend) was sitting right in front of me for some reason. Realised somehow it was a dream, then proceeded to bash my head in the sink while inside the dream. Another instance was when I dream of a certain group of friends but they only have their upper half of their body, with long noodly legs. Again I suddenly realise its a dream, look for something to bash my head in. Wake up with the heart rate of an Olympic athlete.

Has happened a couple more times in the last few months. Everytime I realise its a dream, I look for something to smash my head in, a lot of times a sink comes out of nowhere, other times I'm doing whatever I can to bash my head.

Happens once every few days. I don't normally have dreams that I can remember. But I remember most of whatever happens in these dreams. It's starting to affect my sleep. I can't usually sleep after I have one of these nightmares.
