I’m a school custodian at a large elementary school. The school isn’t especially old, but there are a lot of really odd aspects about the buildings. I’ll get into that some other time if you’re interested, but here is a notable experience I had. This occurred 12/01/22. Something happens almost every night, but this experience stuck with me.
I was cleaning the “new buildings”, and I noticed there was a light on in a classroom within building one, about 300 yards away. Two hours later, I finished the new buildings (10 classrooms), and started pushing my supplies back to the custodial office. I noticed the light in building one had gone off, but as I walked across the blacktop, I saw out of my peripheral the light go on within the classroom again in building 1. Same classroom as before. I decided to go investigate because I’m supposed to be on the lookout for neighborhood kids jumping onto the roof and into the school. (People have broken into classrooms and stolen electronics). I opened the back door of the classroom, the one leading to the blacktop. When I opened the door, I was smacked with an intense cold air, then a very warm air just after. My nostrils were filled with the smell of a hot non stick pan. It was very metallic, very warm smell. I walked in and looked around, not entirely trusting my own senses. I noticed that there was a book on the center rug, and it was open. I don’t know what page it was open to, but I saw an Elmo illustration. I turned and closed the door and went back to my office. I was very shaken. Be advised, I’ve had 2 beers. I hope my writing is ok.
