Are you ever afraid of falling asleep? Most people enjoy sleeping because it boosts their energy and makes their day better. But there was a time when I was frightened by just the idea of sleeping.
It all began about 6 years ago. I went home late at night very tired to the point that I immediately fell asleep upon falling down my bed without even changing. But upon waking up, I felt so uneasy and the atmosphere of my room was dreadful. I got up but then I saw myself still sleeping on the bed. I looked around and there were pictures and paintings hanging on my wall which I didn’t have in my room.I took a closer look at the images and they were evil. I can’t really make anything out of the other pictures because they were a bit distorted, but I felt that it meant evil. I tried going out of my room but I couldn’t.
My doors and windows weren’t there. I tried to scream for help but I had no voice, and the more I tried the harder it was to breathe. That was when I realised that it was a dream. But I still can’t wake up from it. The images in the paintings got darker and more frightening the longer I stayed in the dream. I tried so hard to open my eyes and move my hands but I just couldn’t. I don’t know how I managed to finally wake up.
I only found out a few months later that I experienced what was called sleep paralysis when I came across a video about the same as what I've experienced. And from then it only got worse.
