Not sure if anyone will be able to help or if this is even the right place to ask.
This happened to me when I was a kid, my bedroom was connected to the lounge room and I would sleep with my bedroom door open. My parents had bought me a child rocking chair that sat directly across from my door. One night I woke up randomly and the grim reaper was sitting in my chair looking at me. I knew instantly that it was him. I hide under my blankets for a moment and when I looked back to see if he was still there, he wasn't, but the chair was rocking.
