Hey everyone! I'm glad to be here and boy do I love reading paranormal stories! I have a few that I'd like to share here from my old house.
So our last house was a townhouse, and I believe one family before us lived there. To my knowledge no one died there, but our neighbor in the house across from us passed away there, and we also lived walking distance from a cemetery.
The way the house was laid out, it was 4 floors. Bottom floor was basement, main floor was living area, kitchen, dining room. 2nd floor was my bedroom, parents bedroom, laundry room. Top floor was attic/loft type space with walk in closet which was my sisters room.
Since my sisters room was the entire top floor, part of it was directly above my bedroom. This is your pretty standard paranormal stuff, but whenever my sister was at work, I'd hear distinct footsteps from upstairs. I don't mean the house settling BS, but it was feet dragging across carpet footsteps, as if someone refused to pick their feet up off the floor.
The next one is when I was about 9 or 10, I always wanted to sleep with my sister in her room despite having my own room. Eventually she got tired of me sleeping with her, so that night my parents made me sleep alone. I was laying in bed crying and upset. In the middle of me crying, directly in my ear, I hear "shhh".
Now for this next one, I was sitting in bed on my laptop. My bedroom was perpendicular to the hallway. My door was open, and in my peripheral vision, I saw what appeared to be a figure poke its head into my bedroom, then retreat. I looked up after this and called out for anyone, but no one was there.
This one may be the scariest one, but this one is at least a bit rational. I was asleep one early morning, and was woken up to the sound of someone whisper screaming in my ear "WAKE UPPPPPPP!!!" and I felt as though I was being shaken. This one may be written off as a half sleep/half awake hallucination, but it was still freaky.
Since moving to my current house I haven't really experienced anything. Thanks for reading!
