Spirit in Grandfathers House? Please help!/u/NeighborhoodAny2845

Hi all. I (18f) am writing this on behalf of my grandfather (74m) as he is not technologically inclined and couldn’t grasp the concept of Reddit (I’m not sure I can fully lol so please excuse any mishaps). We were recently having a chat over a few drinks and he told us that he believes there is a spirit living in his house. He became a widower in 2020 after loosing my grandma and got quite emotional when speaking about an experience he had about a month ago. He explained that as he was in his bed, he saw a ‘ripple’ on his late wife’s side of the bed, forming the shape of a human figure. He reports it moving towards the foot of the bed to be standing over him, in which it morphed into the shape of a figure, made from black and white tiles (like a harlequin costume), which then disappeared when he ran into the washroom and turned the lights off. He said it was extremely unsettling and it ‘didn’t feel right’ and that he felt it was somehow related to his wife. He has also said that he has had similar experiences in the past with feeling uncomfortable in certain places in rooms, as well as seeing figures at the foot of his bed and is unsure of what to do now. He mentioned going to the local vicar but didn’t want to offend him. I’m not sure what to think of this, being a firm unbeliever in ghosts, but I want to get him any closure and comfort I can find him. It okay s also said that his grandma (my great x2 grandma) had ‘powers’ but I’m not sure of the credibility of this. Can anyone offer any help/support of why this may have happened and what we can do about it? Many thanks.
