Strange activity in the kitchen (something I can’t properly describe)/u/endlessloopsofwhy

Currently ending a lease so been getting the place looking good for final landlord inspection / packing my shit up.

Went down to the kitchen and was blind sided by a ‘tendril’ (almost like the one in Donnie Darko mixed with smoke drifting from multiple just extinguished candles) at face height, extending in a tube and moving along at a leisurely pace right from one side of the kitchen to the other.

I’m actually almost at a loss to describe what it looked like. I want to say ‘vortex’ as well, but whatever. My brain, I think, couldn’t quite comprehend what I was seeing and made it look approximately like smoke. That’s my theory anyway. (Well, smoke that doesn’t behave like smoke.)

I was so surprised and unable to comprehend what it was that I just stood there and looked at it for a bit before going back upstairs. When I came back down it was gone. I regret not taking a picture, but in the moment I was just very surprised and (as mentioned) unable to process what I was seeing.

So, there you go.
