Last November, I was in London visiting family and I decided to go to the Tower of London for the first time.
I visited the tower on my own and there were many areas where I was the only person present. I thought to myself that it’s odd how I’m not scared walking alone in a place rumored to be haunted and has such a bloody history (I get scared easily).
I had very mixed feelings. I felt like I had been there before. I felt a sense of longing. I felt grief. I felt invigorated. I felt different emotions at different areas, but none of those emotions was fear or foreboding. I also didn’t sense any kind of presence at all. I just felt an incredible connection to the place. And a man’s image kept popping into my head. He was of medium build and had dark hair and dark eyes. I’m not sure who that person is or why I associated him with the tower. And I thought, maybe it’s a character from one of the historical series I watch.
I was at Martin Tower standing on the battlement where I saw my reflection on a glass door. I thought to myself: “I should take a picture of my reflection. I think something will appear in the picture.”. Again, I didn’t feel or see anything at the time. It was just an odd thought. I didn’t even look at the picture after I took it.
A couple of days I go, I finished watching “The Tudors”, and I went through the pictures I took at the tower. That’s when I saw the reflection picture for the first time. I was shocked and a little scared. I saw what appears to be a man standing behind me. I showed the picture to my partner and didn’t say anything, I just asked him what he saw and he told me that there’s someone standing behind me. I sent my brother the picture without saying anything and asked him what he saw. He too said that someone is standing behind me. Again, I was all alone and I clearly remember this.
I went through all the pictures I took, and I found another odd reflection in a different area, at Lanthorn Tower.
I don’t know what to make of them. The two pictures I took using my iPhone and they haven’t been edited in any way.
Any thoughts? And sorry for the long post.
