Hey this is my first Redit post and I’m on a spooky paranormal kick at the moment. It got me thinking of anything I’ve experienced. I do remember something from my childhood but I cannot say for certain if it was anything genuinely paranormal. For context at the time I was obsessed with Slenderman, and in my young naïve self, I halfway believed in the creepypasta to be real.
I recall laying on my parents bed one night. I was reading a Calvin and Hobbes collection. My parents room has a connected bathroom and closet to my left. Both are quite small and next to each other. I remember looking up from the book towards the entrance of the bathroom and I DISTINCTLY could see what I presumed to be a pale featureless face quickly darting behind the wall of the bathroom. Happened like that. Just a quick second and it was gone. I did not know what to make of it at the time but I definitely felt a tad bit unnerved. Not being sure if what I saw was real. Nothing else happed after that though.
Am I saying it was “The Slenderman”? No that would be stupid. Am I saying it was paranormal? I’m not quite sure. Its more than possible and more likely I imagined it or something of the sort. The only reason I share this is because it felt so real, and it truly felt like whatever darted its head to hide from me was really physically there. Spooky to think about sometimes.
