So, a while back I posted about my experiences living in the room where my great grandfather lived and died. I mentioned things moving on their own, closet doors being open and someone moving my chair as I was sitting in it.

All that still happens, but things have gone further.

Since our house is pretty much massive, my dad lives downstairs while I have the upper floor to myself. It’s a bit like a 4 bedroom flat all to myself and I love it because Corona has forced my university to switch to online class and thus I have the privacy I need to study.

Now, there’s a door at the top of the staircase. We installed it a few years ago because we have a conservatory attached to the house and it get’s pretty hot during summer, so we use the door to keep it cool upstairs. Now, that door never had a key because why lock it when the front and side doors are locked anyways?

Some time ago my cousin started to low-key stalk me. He’s pretty sick in the head and it got kinda scary. So my dad found the key to the door at the staircase and I started locking it at night. but things have calmed down and he moved away, thus I don’t lock the door anymore.

It gets a bit weird from here on out. For a few weeks now, I sometimes wake up in the morning and when I want to go downstairs, I find the door locked. It’s only me upstairs and it’s impossible to lock the door from the other side. For a while I thought I might sleepwalk, but I set up a camera for a few days until I woke up to find the door locked again, but there was nothing on it. So I definitely wasn’t sleepwalking and locking it myself.

It happened again this morning and I got a really eerie feeling when I unlocked it. I don’t really know what to make of it because whatever lives in my room has never been hostile. So either, they lock it to protect me or because something sinister is about to happen.

To be honest, I feel a bit uneasy about it.
