The house I grew up in had all my passed’s relatives furniture in the guest room and big mirrored sliding doors for the closet. Even people that never believed in ghosts or anything paranormal always did after spending a night in that room. You would see shadows and lights and things moving around in the mirrors that you couldn’t see while looking around, even though the only window was facing to the side yard of the house, where there was no light and no people could walk by.

The only proof I ever got, was on my old computer (it broke down shortly after this incident, but I’ll explain it as best as possible). At the time, we had severe water damage throughout the house and had fans set up everywhere to dry out the carpets. The entire upstairs of the house was carpeted, but only 1 room downstairs was. We had to wear foot covers when walking on it and our pets weren’t supposed to at all. For the cat we could easily pick him up and he would just stay wherever, but my dog loved sleeping in one of our rooms at night, and walking from room to room to check on us. The only room that we could close her in that wasn’t freezing like the garage or small like the bathroom, was the guest room. She always acted weirdly in there, so I wanted to set up my computer to see if anything happened. She was always a very quiet, sweet, mild mannered dog. She was a bit older when this happened, around 7-9 years old, and a golden-retriever mix. Whenever she was in the guest room she would bark at various areas and get aggressive, something she NEVER did. Even if as kids we were fucking with her too much, she would just get up and walk away, she never got aggressive about anything.

I set up my computer and sat with her for a minute. For context, when you entered the room, there was a vanity immediately in front of you, pushed up to the wall to your right, and a dresser and corner immediately to your left that you had to turn past to be able to see the mirrored sliding doors. I had set my computer up on the vanity, the side closest to the door, slightly angled toward the corner opposite the sliding mirrored doors, where the bed was. My mom, dad, and brother were all in bed and asleep, there was no access into the guest room other than past me, and I checked the whole room before I left the dog in there to make sure no one was in the room. She was calm and comfortable, never had any issues being closed into rooms before, etc. I left, and went to sit in the living room about 15 feet away.

Within 5 minutes she started barking. I waited a second to see if it would stop, but it didn’t. I went in to check on her, she came over to me and stood in front of me and then growled at a corner near the closet doors. I got freaked out and left, but I didn’t want my parents to get mad at me so I left her in there so she wouldn’t follow me up the carpeted stairs (I don’t remember exactly why pets couldn’t walk on it, but they were very strict with that rule so I followed it).

It was quiet for another few minutes, and then she started barking again. It took me a solid minute or two to build up the courage to go back, but I did and I took her leash with me so I could take her to the living room and just sleep on the couch with her. I got her from the guest room and grabbed my computer as I was leaving and watched the video in the living room. Just before she starts barking the first time, you can see a dark shadowy shape move from the bed toward where the mirrored doors are. The second time she starts barking, you can’t see it because of the computer angle, but you can hear the big armchair that’s next to the mirrored doors start sliding across the floor. I was too scared to check that night and hardly slept, but the next day the chair had moved a few feet from where it normally was. Neither my brother nor my parents care enough about scaring me to lose sleep over it, and even if one of my family members was in there, my dog wouldn’t be barking if it was just them moving stuff around. My dog also was very gentle and never moved furniture or pillows or anything, and you can see her back legs in the video so it’s clear it’s not her pushing the chair.

The only explanation I have is that’s the closet where we used to store our ouija board. And when we played with it (we bought it from toys r us when we were kids so we didn’t think it was real, unfortunately), we used to play it in my closet, which was directly above the guest room closet. Most of the kinds of activity we had (doors/window opening/closing, sleep paralysis, etc) stopped shortly after getting rid of the ouija board, but I think that combined with having the furniture of passed’s relatives probably invited some shit to live in that room, because it never fully stopped, it only lessened. The majority of the activity was focused in my room/closet and the guest room/closet, both of which just felt bad too, but you could hear footsteps and things moving/opening/closing throughout the house.

My parents sold that house last year. They kept the furniture which still has a weird ~vibe~ to me but I’m very scared of it and biased now lol
