Wasn’t sure where else to post this, but this is three nights in a row now and I’m getting frustrated.

My son (7) has a bunk bed in his room and I will have sleepovers from time to time just to have those quality moments together. We just recently moved into this house last May.

My son has suffered from night terrors, just like I did as a kid, since he was about 4 years old. They’ve carried into this new house.

I’ve slept in his room the past three nights to work through this season of night terrors. His most frequent experience he describes as tentacles coming down from his ceiling and out from the wall. In all honesty, I prefer this for him compared to the dark shadows and figures that plagued my night terrors growing up. However, I’m beginning to question if what is interrupting his sleep is all in his head.

These past three nights, I have woken up to find his fan, which we had pointed directly at the bed, is now facing the exact opposite direction and blowing at the wall. I’ve gotten up to fix it, to find it turned again. My son has never been a sleepwalker and the ladder on his bunk bed is so loud I’d hear him climbing down from the top bunk, so I don’t believe it’s him.

I’ve lived in multiple houses with varying degrees of paranormal and strange activity. I grew up in Ohio. I now live in New England and it’s the first time I’m getting that feeling in my gut.

I’m not really afraid or freaked out. This is nothing compared to some other things I’ve experienced, but I am frustrated because no one wants their kids dealing with this shit.

tl;dr My son’s fan has seemingly been moving on it’s own.
