In 1943 the USS Eldridge supposedly vanished from Philadelphia and then very briefly reappeared at Norfolk, Virginia, after which it returned to the Philadelphia Naval Yard. This is what’s known as the Philadelphia Experiment. In this first installment, Nick Redfern not only questions its results, but if it really happened at all. That leads us to Redfern’s part 2, The Philadelphia Experiment and Conspiracy Theorists: Invisible or Not? Evidently even the US Navy wasn’t certain of the results of the experiment, committing its resources to uncovering the truth of what happened that day in 1943. Their goal was to finally prove (or disprove) Invisibility: Reality or Legend and Myth? Interestingly, such evidence would provide a greater understanding of those paranormal beings for whom invisibility seems to be a regular part of doing business with humans. Almost 80 years later though, and we still can’t explain the phenomenon. (CM)– Delivered by Feed43 serviceTHE ANOMALIST
